Boston’s Premiere Property Management Firm Goes Carbon-Free

BOSTON, April 9th, 2008 -- Urban Property Management, which manages some of Boston’s most recognizable residential and mixed-use properties, announced today that it has partnered with Carbonfund.org to reduce and offset it’s carbon footprint. Carbonfund.org is a non-profit organization that promotes climate change education, carbon offsets and green power, and outreach efforts by individuals and businesses to reduce the threat of climate change.

“With Earth Day just around the corner, we hope this contribution will help send a message to other small-to-medium sized businesses,” says Bill Kasper, Owner and Senior Property Manager. “You don’t have to be a global organization to make a difference.”

Beginning immediately and each year moving forward, Urban Property Management has committed to participating in the CarbonFree Small Business program. With annual participation with Carbonfund.org, Urban Property Management is expected to offset approximately 70 METRIC TONS of carbon per year.
